Taylor Medical Clinic
The Taylor Medical Clinic is a renovated residence that has been converted into a doctors office; it is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am – 12:00pm and features a rotation of visiting doctors from Fort St John. Walk-ins are welcome however, appointments are preferred.
Taylor Community
On the banks of the Peace River, Taylor is know as the community where "Peace and Prosperity Meet" and is home to 1,500 people. It is located on mile 36 of the Alaska Highway and is 56 kilometers north of Dawson Creek, and 18 kilometers south of Fort St John along Highway 97. The Peace River’s banks have been home to the citizens of Taylor since the early 1900’s, and its fertile soils are the perfect place to grow fresh fruits and vegetables. Summers in Taylor are cool and short with average temperatures of 12-16°C, while winters are long and cold and average -11°C temperatures. Taylor is home to a championship 18 hole, par 72 golf course and the World’s Invitation Class “A” Gold Panning Championships featuring some of the worlds best gold panners. Recreational activities are in abundance and include motorcross, skating, hockey, baseball, curling, a community pool and more.
